Governance Fee Update

Current fees to put a proposal vote on-chain are at 50k STARS, with 12.5k STARS minimum deposit (25%). We had changed it previously due to the amount of spam proposals. Due to STARS surge in price, that USD equivalent value became significantly higher than before.

Taking that into account, as well as keeping it significant enough to avoid spam/scam proposals, Stargaze team would like to propose the following:

• Lower the current fee to put a proposal vote on-chain to 25k STARS, with a minimum deposit of 6,250 STARS (25%).

As a reminder, only proposals with full deposit can be seen and voted on, but anyone can contribute to meet the full deposit after the minimum deposit is made.

By voting YES, you agree to reduce the fee to put a proposal vote on chain to 25k, with a minimum deposit of 25%. By voting NO, you don’t agree to reduce the fee, keeping it at 50k STARS/12.5k STARS. By voting NO WITH VETO, you believe this proposal is malicious and there should be a penalty to the current proposer.
